The Birth of Chevrons

The idea for Chevrons came along when a friend suggested I tap the 
resources of months upon months of intense LAN party mockery ( a 
fantastic passtime if you can get someone to compete with 
you) and turn it into something 1) productive 2) artistic 3) funny...
 well, I'd never really done the "comic" thing (I do a lot of 
art, but had never tried the panel stuff :/ ) so I decided to 
challenge myself! Thus was the birth of Chevrons. It is my baby.

The Truth Behind the Name:
Believe it or not, the name of the comic actually has some sort
of meaning. Its a "theory" I came up with, aided by a friend or two,
that most systems for measuring geek status are limited by the prejudice
that geek only applies to the computer savvy. Since the geek universe
is a diverse community (band geeks, art geeks, computer geeks, ad infinitum...)
we thought there should be a diverse amount of ways to gauge someone's
'geekiness'. Eventually we thought that one should be able to earn
Chevrons, basically establishing rank. All the sectors of the geek
world can be included and the world rejoices. Thus, Chevrons of Dorkdom.
